Want to live a more mindful life? Here's a fun and easy exercise to help you stay present and truly experience each moment. We often hear about the importance of mindfulness, but it can be tricky to apply in our day-to-day lives. Breathing consciously is one way to stay present, but if you want to mix it up and have some fun, try this: as you leave your house, pick a colour – any colour that you're feeling connected to that day. Then, while you're out, look for things in that colour. You'll be amazed at how much more aware you become of your surroundings. Not only will you notice the colours, but you'll also become more aware of smells and sights that you might have otherwise missed. This simple activity can bring a sense of calm and tranquillity, as it gives your mind a break from daily worries and to-do lists. It's a great way to step out of autopilot mode, especially when we're often overwhelmed by the amount of things we have to do. So give it a go – it's super easy and enjoyable! Just pick a colour before heading out for a walk, running errands or going to work, and try spotting that colour as you go. You'll soon see what a lovely experience living mindfully can be.
